The prominent French artist, Lucien Delarue, was born in Paris on November 10, 1925. He studied at the studios of Grande Chaumiere, Paris as a pupil of Maitre Yves Brayer and began taking part in exhibitions very early in his career. As a result, he won first prize and the Vermeil-Medaille at the Salon Violet. Other awards include the gold medal at the Salon of Vincennes, a gold medal at the Salon of Clichy in 1973, a silver medal at the Salon des Artistes Francais in 1974, and a bronze medal at the Arts-Sciences-Lettres exhibition in Paris.
In 1970, Delarue's works were exhibited at the Museum of Ile de France in the Chateau of Sceaux along with other exhibitions held in New York and San Francisco. Numerous important European and American collections include this artist's work.
Due to severe health issues, this great artist has been unable to work in recent years. Therefore, we only have, or ever will have, a very limited number of his paintings.
