Paul Wesley Arndt (1881-1978), A Listed Artist
A beautiful original oil on canvas depicting the Catskills in their bright fall colors. The work is very well executed with great balance and light fall. Arndt was a student of Jean Leon-Gerome at the Ecole Des Beaux Arts in Paris. He also studied at the Art Institute in Chicago. Arndt is best known for his murals in public buildings and landscape paintings. Arndt is listed in AskArt, which also references him in Peter Falk's "Who Was Who in American Art."
