An original oil by the noted Spanish artist, Emilio Payes, born in 1935 in Alicante. He initially studied painting in his hometown at the Academy of Fine Arts, followed by numerous study trips to Northern Spain, and finally perfecting his artistic education with journeys to France and Italy. Since about 1980, the artist has directed his major interests to painting city views and impressive scenes from his favorite cities, Paris and Venice.
Payes has held many exhibitions with great success in such cities as Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Vienna. During these exhibitions, many of the world's art critics praised his work in very glowing terms.
