A beautiful work, circa 1940, by the well listed artist, Niels Walseth (1914 - 2001). He was literally born to be an artist, as both parents were artists and he grew up in a home filled with art. Walseth painted a wide range of subjects with great success. During his extraordinary life, he traveled to many countries to paint and hold exhibitions. Walseth paintings have sold at major auction houses, including Sothebys, London.
This piece is an excellent example of his best work.
