A lovely old (signed and dated 1895) marine scene by the listed British artist, Hugh S. Hemsley. The artist was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and was know to have held many exhibitions in the ealy 1900's. The frame, original to the piece is also beautiful (some minor restoration). This is a beautiful and treasured work.
